Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce Celebrates Member’s Growth in the U.P.

Manistique, MI (June, 2025) - Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce (STC) is proud to
announce that long-standing member Grover Real Estate has officially expanded with
the opening of a new office in Newberry, Michigan. This expansion reflects the
company’s deep roots in the Upper Peninsula and commitment to serving communities
across the region with integrity, innovation, and experience.
Founded by Marie and Marvin Grover in the late 1960s and established in Manistique in
the 1970s, Grover Real Estate has grown to become a respected name in the U.P. real
estate market. When David Muxlow purchased the business in 2001—after entering the
real estate industry in 1994—he preserved the Grover name in honor of the reputation
and values it stood for.
“Our clients’ interests always come first,” said David Muxlow. “That’s the foundation of
everything we do, and we’re excited to bring that same dedication to the Newberry
area.”

The new office, located in the beautifully renovated Old Newberry State Bank Building
at 320 Newberry Avenue, Suite A, officially opened its doors on May 1st. A grand
opening celebration will take place on Friday, June 20th, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Those in the community are invited to join the celebration.
Grover Real Estate’s decision to open in Newberry was driven by longstanding business
in Luce County and a desire to serve clients locally. The office will be staffed by Kristine
McCraren, a licensed broker and appraiser, and her son Joshua Gielecki, a recent
college graduate. The team will offer a full range of services including listings, buyer
representation, property evaluations, marketing, and closing support—mirroring the
offerings of the Manistique location.

"Newberry is a natural fit for our growth strategy," added Susie Muxlow. "We believe in
collaboration among our agents and are already seeing the benefits of cross-office
referrals and shared expertise."
Grover Real Estate brings over 150 years of combined real estate experience to its
clients. The team is known for its hardworking approach, use of up-to-date technology,
aggressive marketing, and commitment to community involvement.

Victoria George, Executive Director of Schoolcraft Tourism & Commerce, praised the expansion: “We are thrilled to see Grover Real Estate grow into the Newberry market. Their dedication to both their clients and the region embodies exactly the kind of leadership and entrepreneurial spirit that uplifts our U.P. communities.”
As the Newberry office gains momentum, Grover Real Estate plans to continue
expanding its agent base and community involvement. The company sees strong
growth potential in the region and remains committed to helping people develop, buy,
and sell property throughout the Upper Peninsula.
